Brownie Goody Bars

Let me begin by saying OH MY GOSH! This little jewel of a dessert came to my email inbox via Betty Crocker. I MUST share. Beware: This is NOT diet friendly. But it is SOOO worth it.
-1 box Betty Crocker Original Supreme Brownie mix (Matt bought the one with Hershey chocolate chunks b/c we had a coupon) I'm sure any brownie mix would work.
-Water, oil, and 1 egg from brownie mix
-1 cup Betty Crocker vanilla frosting
-1/2 cup salted peanuts
-2/3 cup smooth peanut butter
-1 1/3 cups semisweet chocolate chips
-2 cups rice crispy cereal

1. Make brownie's according to package directions. Make in an 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 pan. Cool completely.
2. Spread the vanilla frosting on the brownies and sprinkle with salted peanuts. Set in refrigerator.
3. Put peanut butter and chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 15 second increments until melted. Stir in rice crispy cereal.
4. Smooth rice mixture over cooled frosting. Refrigerate 1 hour. Cut into 16 bars. Store in an air tight container.

Notes from Kitchen of Reality:

-We use Crunchy Peanut Butter so we used that in the chocolate/rice mixture and omitted the salted peanuts.
-I had Duncan Hines vanilla frosting on hand so I used that. Brands really don't matter.

OH MY GOSH...they are soo good!
